The Reef Hawaiian Pro in on today up on the North Shore at Haleiwa Beach Park.
Waves are about 4-6ft with some larger sets sneaking in.

*The waves looks really fun today I think I am headed up there soon to watch some of the first round live. I hope that the waves get really big, haha. Now that I don’t surf these events, I hope it gets huge and out of control crazy like it used to. I’ve had waaayyyyyy too many crazy rounds out at Haleiwa. My last Triple Crown Event was back in ‘99 and the waves were 10-15 ft all day. But the buoy’s was forcasting 20-25ft by 6pm and my heat was the last of the day that would paddle out at 5pm. That was a crazy heat. I remember Luke Egan, Richie Collins, and Marty Thomas was surfing with me and fear was pasted all over everyone’s face…it was pretty funny, at least I thought so. To see all of the other guys with fear in their eyes was settling for me. Heck, I thought I was the only one that was scared, haha, I guess we are all human. Shit, crazy days….I really miss the competition but not the crazy surf. So that’s why I want to go watch these guys surf….hopefully it gets huge, haha.

Wassup gang, I’m here in Lost Wages or Las Veags and depositing some of my hard earned moolla. I’m celebrating my 5th year wedding anniversary. Yah yah yah, I know….what the hell would make such a beautiful and warm loving person stay married to me for 5 years let alone marry me to begin with. Before, you send your wise ass comments…Wendall and Jas. Well, Jas we both know what happened to u sooooooo….nuff said. *Ok, sooo we ate at this new restaurant in Vegas and we ended up laughing and laughing and eating and eating…..nah, just found this pic, pretty funny. But it leads me to this. I saw that the people on the Big Island voted to make “green harvest” or marijuana a low priority. But, Big Island Officials don’t want it to be that way. I think that they are against it because when they have a big bust, it is also when these guys get their weed, haha. Because they gotta be high to not concentrate on crystal meth instead. Besides, anyone who ever been to the Big Island, you all know that they must be high because everything is closed by 8pm.

*Jus wanna congratulate Bonga Perkins on his second Longboard World Championship. Bonga blew away the comp in Califorina last week. Usually I bag on these WRONGboarders, I mean Longboarders…but Bonga and his crew are probably some of the coolest surfers in the world.

*Congratulation’s to my wife Denise. She has been a great friend as well as a wife these past years. Five years have flown by really quick, so thats a good thing. Don’t really know why she puts up with me and stayed with me for soooo long……wait…..let me look in the mirror…..nope thats not it…I don’t even have a talking mirror but it stuck a finger at me than cracked, haha. But thanks for being the person you are, I Love You!!! now lets win some money!!!

Elcetion is done, NBA season just started, MLB World Series is over, and life goes on.

Wow, who would have ever think….no not the fact that Barack Obama is now the new elected President of the United States of America. Nor the fact that Barack Obama grew up here in Hawaii or there is a Hawaiian, at heart, President…..But the biggest thing is that someone that graduated from Punahou High School actually did something with their wealthy parents, paid education…haha.

*Its a good thing that McCain didn’t win….its not that I don’t think he would do a bang up job in the White House, but looks like being the Prez was on his “bucket list”. He would be named John “walking cane” instead. Then it would leave us with Sarah Palin…..nah, don’t think so. American would be “bail’n” on Palin.

Now for the new elect….who would have guessed, a black man running for prez and winning…cool. Man, the last time we saw a black man running was on the track in the olympics or in the hood running from the police. Now Obama is Prez, Colt Brennan can go visit the White House and eat some LauLau and Poi with the prez.

* Now, who wants to help out and volunteer your services. We need to pitch in and help pack up Bush’s shit and get him the hell out of Dodge, haha.

Since my last post, the NBA season has kicked off in full fashion. As you may or may not know, or if you even give a rats ass, my team is the New York Knicks…and they suck, but I still root for them. NY has a new head coach and just in time. Mike D’antoni is a coach that finally has balls, he is sitting and trying to trade the overpaid crybaby, Stephon Marbury….cool get rid of this germ.

In other NBA news….

*Billy’s favorite NBA player, Allen Iverson, was traded to the Detroit Pistons for Chauncey Billups, Antonio McDyess, and Cheik Samb. Wow, this is crazy, but I think this improves both teams, this will be a crazy NBA season.

Ok its been like 2 weeks since my last post and I never thought that it actually matters. Well, never thought that much people look at this blog. Guess again, well only Jense. So, maybe three or four of you actually look at this. So thank you all, haha. Even though you automatically get this….thanks anyways Kaala.

So the last time I did this Slater kicked ass, the NFL season was crazy, Major League Baseball started its playoffs, UH Football was winning and losing. So this time the NFL season is still crazy, UH football is still losing and winning….well they just lost vs Boise St. and the Baseball season is almost decided its two teams for the World Series.

*Maui Boy Shane “the fly’n Hawaiian” Victorino plays outfield for the Philadelphia Phillies and is headed to the World Series….vs either Boston Red Sox or Tampa Bay Devil Rays. All of Hawaii will be watching the spark plug for the Phillies.

*The NBA season starts in a couple of weeks. My sorry ass New York Knicks begin their season on October 29th vs the Miami Heat. I just hope that the Knicks can win a few more games than last season,well just enough so that they are not the worse team in the NBA. Highly unlikely though, so the are still the New York Chicks and not Knicks. Only time will tell….

*Went to check out Libra over at “Mike Ledger Inc.” they are doing good over there…stoked for Libra. Keep it goin bud.

*One of Billy’s best friends got married the other week. Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Chris and Tia Sablan. Everyone was there, this is Libra and his son Mason.

*Lee Sawyer was caught break dancing and tearing up the rug.

* Brian and Aaron tag teamed on Sean Sakata. Sean fights out of “No Remorse” fight team. He pretty much tapped out here. Some crazy ass pain there.

*Ryan from In4mation came by to get more done on his new sleeve.

Ok its been a really long time since my last entry into this blog. A lot has happened since then.

There has been a lot of upsets in the past weeks of the NFL….thats the National Footbal League for you numb nutts that don’t know. The playoffs has started for the Major League Baseball.

Uh football needs to get the heimlich maneuver done…because they are choking, haha.

Kelly Slater has won the ASP World title for the 9th time. They are currently at Mundaka, Spain and has just won his 3rd round heat.With the heat win Slater clinches the title….and there are still 3 contests to go. Congrats Kelly. At age 20, he was the youngest world champion and now at age 36 he is the oldest world champ.

Went to Visit Libra the other day. He was doing a flower on this girls neck….or was it a hickie? haha

Billy was doing a huge hickie on “SINDICATION’s” April, haha. nah she was getting words on her neck. I guess u could say that bald is beautiful. Just look at Libra and Billy, I guess they just wanna look as good as me, haha.

Cory is a good friend of mine from softball. Cory is the biggest shit talker on that softball field….well, next to me, together we will kill you. Anyways, Cory can in to add to his sleeve. Ten minutes into his tattoo he started to go real pale and green….he was about to pass out. He wasn’t talking crap no more. He was worried because he knew I was gonna give him shit for this one, haha.

“Apple Master” Paul is nuts with his demons. Almost done, but still a ways to go.

In4mant, Ryan, came in to add more on his sleeve. He came bearing gifts from In4mation. Thanks Ryan.

I added more color to Jordan’s back. Damn he is big.

Ok, a lot has happened since my last post…well, actually just more work.

UH Football had a week off, it probably did them some good…they need the practice right now. Sunday NFL was crazy, upsets and super close OT games.

Golf was crazy this week. The Ryder Cup took place in Kentucky and was great to watch….that’s if you like golf. Tiger Woods was injured so the US team pulled together and whooped Europe’s best golfer’s.

*Now for the shop stuff. Got these 2 huge dragon statues from Brandon over at Hawaiian Airlines.

*Pin-Up Chick on the Rib’s artist Jenn Hardin was at it again.

*So, while Jenn gets busy with all the Pin Ups, I’ve been doing the Cherry Blossoms.

*This crazy nut is McElfresh aka Fresh. This guy is nuts. The other day he was set to get some ink from Chris on his arm, when he started talking to Chris about the most painful place to get a tattoo. Usually its the ribs, but it actually is the armpits. NOBODY gets their armpits inked though. “Fresh” thought that he wanted to try it, so Chris came up with this crazy ass web in the pits….ouch!!! I wasn’t the least bit surprised because the night before “Fresh” came in with a few of his buddies and got “semper fidelis” on their wrists. Fresh felt left out so he decided to get it also.

*This is where he decided to get them. The kicker was that his buddies did the tattoo. Fresh was cool with that. I was there to do the “fidelis” and supervise his buds. Tara got in on the act also and did 2 letters.

*How much people does it take to write “SEMPER”? hahaha, these are the group that did the semper.

*Ryan of “In4mation” came in to get started on his 2nd sleeve. Damn, homeboy is one hairy mofo…OKINAWAN Power, haha. ” Low tide ogo showing” for you haole’s out there…that means the tide was low and you could see the seaweed.

*So Tara and I both told Ryan about the night before with Fresh and we told him that Tara was gonna do a few lines also…Ryan gave her the thumbs up.

*I guess he thought that we were just joking, because he doesn’t look all that confident. haha. Tara actually did a great job, Ryan couldn’t even tell you what lines she did. So that means Tara is either that good or I am that bad…haha, you choose.

* Went to the Apple store in Ala Moana Center with Chris. Chris went in to see Paul for a new laptop. This is Brady…the fat one on the left and Paul on the right. These guys are the computer geeks and tech guys that know their shit. Brady is a really good surfer and I give him crap all the time. Brady is also a really good photographer and has a business on the side.check out brady’s website here

We have been slammed over at the shop this past week. All the Marines that just got back from Iraq get to go home for a 3 week leave.
